But the picture is not representative, as in the warehouses there are a number of important findings from prehistoric times (eg New Izmit), but also from the Iron Age (Cemetery tombs at Vergina). In the garden of the Museum there is also a large number of honorary and funerary altars and various types of inscriptions. Most important exhibit of the museum is the inscription with the "headmaster" Law of Veria (normative text of the operation of the High School of the ancient city). Open: Winter: From November 1 to March 31 Monday closed Tuesday-Sunday: 08.30-15.00 Tickets: Full: € 2, Reduced: € 1 The Byzantine Museum of Veria is housed in the Mill Mark, a recently renovated industrial building of the century, located in the neighborhood of the conservation district Kyriotissa. It includes three floors, total area 720 sq.m. each of which will accommodate a conceptually separate section of the permanent exhibition. The material of the permanent exhibition includes part of the rich collection of portable icons, frescoes from churches and secular buildings, mosaics, manuscripts and incunabula, pottery and miniature art, coins and wood carvings, burial finds, architectural sculptures and marble inscriptions.Category: MUSEUMS
