Mycenaean jewelry, vases and small objects from burial ensembles of Ialyssos and Kamiros of the Geometric to the Classical period (9th-4th century BC), sculptures of Classical and Hellenistic periods and coins Rhodian Hellenistic are the main exhibits. GRAND MASTER PALACE
Open: Winter: Tuesday-Sunday 08.00-15.00 Closed on Monday Summer: Daily 08.00-20.00 Tickets: Full: € 6, Reduced: € 3 The Grand Master's Palace is perhaps the most important monument of the Knights. During the Italian restoration, in 1930, the building received its current layout, making it the headquarters, but also the residence of the Italian commander. In the halls of the first floor, visitors can admire the mosaics carried over from the Italians, mainly from secular and ecclesiastical buildings of Kos, in order to decorate the Palace. Apart from the impressive mosaics, there are also columns and capitals, medieval furniture, mirrors, paintings, candlesticks and other objects complete the decoration of the imposing edifice. On part of the ground floor of the Palace, in successive halls, it houses the permanent exhibition of 4th DAC entitled "Rhodes from early Christian times until its conquest by the Turks (1522)." This includes various finds from excavations conducted in the Medieval City (ceramics, sculptures, frescoes, icons, miniatures, etc.)Category: MUSEUMS

MUNICIPAL GALLERY OF RHODES
Open: Winter: From the 1st of November until the 31 of March: 8:30-15:00 The Gallery today houses one of the most representative and authoritative collections of 20th-century Greek painting. Most of the Greek painters who worked creatively during these nine decades, developing the features of modern Greek painting, are represented in this collection through some of their most characteristic works. There are works which marked the creative evolution of these artists, and which were presented in formal exhibitions both in Greece and abroad. The collection of the Municipal Art Gallery includes works by K. Maleas, C. Parthenis, F. Kontoglou, Theophilos, N. Hadjikyriakos-Ghikas, Sp. Vassiliou, J. Spyropoulos, Y. RHODES DECORATIVE ARTS COLLECTION
Open: Temporarily closed Tickets: 2,00 € The Popular Decorative Arts Collection of Rhodes is housed in the Hospitaller period building known as the Arsenal, on Argyrokastrou Square. In comprises wood carvings, chests and other traditional furniture, embroideries, pottery, metal objects, examples of the so-called Lindian ware and traditional costumes from various Dodecanese Islands (Symi, Karpathos, Rhodes, Nisyros, Tilos, Chalki) and other parts of Greece. The Decorative Arts Collection, in its present form, also includes exhibits derived from the Folk Archive of the Dodecanese and several post-1948 acquisitions derived from private gifts, archaeological excavation and confiscations.Category: MUSEUMS
