The museum's goal is the search, collection, maintenance, preservation and exhibition of objects related to the performance of Greek marine works from prehistoric times to today. Among its goals is even the study and documentation of greek maritime heritage and general culture of love for young people to sea, which fulfills its educational mission of the Museum.
On the 10 large rooms that cover an area of about 1850 sq.m. the naval course of Hellenism through the centuries is being presented in a vivid way.
