The Sarakatsani Folklore Museum consists of three levels, a basement, a ground floor and a first floor. In the basement there are storage areas, library, conference hall and teaching hall for traditional dances and songs. On the ground and first floor it exhibits the life and art of Sarakatsani, during the last phase of their nomadic life, the interwar period, and by the end of the 1940s.
The exhibition was organized with the aim of maintaining the ancient greek elements, which kept intact the Sarakatsani through their culture, their lives and their art, and their passing on to the younger generations.
