The Popular Decorative Arts Collection of Rhodes is housed in the Hospitaller period building known as the Arsenal, on Argyrokastrou Square. In comprises wood carvings, chests and other traditional furniture, embroideries, pottery, metal objects, examples of the so-called Lindian ware and traditional costumes from various Dodecanese Islands (Symi, Karpathos, Rhodes, Nisyros, Tilos, Chalki) and other parts of Greece.
The Decorative Arts Collection, in its present form, also includes exhibits derived from the Folk Archive of the Dodecanese and several post-1948 acquisitions derived from private gifts, archaeological excavation and confiscations.
