The Archaeological Museum of Almyros is a neoclassical building, It was founded in 1910 and began operating in 1925. After spending many adventures xanaleitourgei remodeled since 1998 and includes findings from part of Thessaly, in historical times called Achaia Fthiotida.I report of ancient objects organized into three rooms: hall Fthiotidas Thebes (Archaic town near Mikrothives, held the first place among the cities of the region), the room with vases, figurines, tools, arms, jewelry, small objects of prehistoric and Iron Age and the hall with artifacts from the Hellenistic city of Alos in the current position Kefalosi Almyrou, while to the right of the entrance houses the valuable library Filarchaiou Company Almyrou “Othrys” with rare books of historical and archaeological content.
